Pakistan’s T20 World Cup hopes washed out as rain cancels US, Ireland match

Pakistan were disposed of from the T20 World Cup on Friday after the match between the US and Ireland was cleaned out.

The match was deferred by more than three hours as ground staff combat to eliminate standing water in the outfield.

South Florida has experienced weighty downpour and flooding and the game on Tuesday at Lauderhill between Sri Lanka and Nepal was deserted.

There were weighty showers before on Friday morning and umpires held different reviews.

The US fit the bill for the Super Eights phase, alongside bunch pioneer India, while Pakistan, Ireland and Canada are dispensed with.
